Briar Rose Creamery is a small, family-owned, award-winning cheesemaker in Dundee, Oregon.
We are looking for a new co-worker to sample and sell cheese every Saturday in Beaverton through November.
Join us and be a part of the vibrant farmers market movement at the local cheese community! This is a great opportunity for someone looking for supplemental income and enjoys working outdoors, surrounded by some of the best locally grown produce and hand-crafted foods in the Northwest! About the job:
-Our Farmers' Market staff-person is energetic, outgoing, and friendly.
-You love all kinds of cheese (and all foods), and you are comfortable talking about our cheese with customers.
We'll give you tasting notes to help sell our hand-crafted cheeses.
-You need have a car or access to a vehicle that is suitable for hauling our market gear:
a canopy, 40# coolers full of cheese, a 6-ft.
table, and the rest of the equipment that make up a farmers market stand.
-You can easily stand on your feet for several hours while selling cheese.
-You are comfortable handling credit card transactions, counting cash, and completing inventory paperwork at the end of a market day.
-Must be available to drive back and forth from the creamery in Dundee to Beaverton and back to Dundee every week during market season.
-We pay mileage in addition to your hourly wage.
Applicants must be able to work Saturdays, rain or shine.
Hours are approx.
9 hours/day.
Compensation:
$17/hour plus mileage.
Extra perks include weekly cheese allowance, employee discount on products, excellent trading opportunities at the markets, plus occasional bonuses.
